A lovely drive starting with a long stretch on tarmac, we gradually ease into gravel for the last stretch to a Boutique Farmstay hidden deep in the African Bush.

Start early with packed breakfast to explore the towering dunes of Sossusvlei and the famous Deadvlei in Namib-Naukluft National Park. Climb Dune 45 and witness some of the world’s highest dunes, including Big Daddy. Deadvlei features ancient dead trees preserved by the dry climate, making it one of the most photographed spots globally.

After an early breakfast, embark on the longest drive of the trip, including Namibia’s steepest mountain pass. The final stretch follows the scenic coastal road along the Atlantic, ending with an overnight stay in Swakopmund, a charming town known for its German architecture and oysters.

The Skeleton Coast gets its name from numerous shipwrecks and whale and seal bones scattered along its shore, caused by dangerous currents and fog. Despite harsh conditions, it hosts unique wildlife like desert elephants, lions, hyenas, and large colonies of Cape fur seals. The sand dunes here create eerie ‘singing’ sounds when the sand shifts. Before two days in the wild, guests will stay at a luxurious African lodge.

Today we drive through Damaraland to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Twyfelfontein, home to over 2,500 ancient rock engravings—the largest in Africa.

We’ll also pass through the petrified forest, featuring massive fossilized tree trunks over 280 million years old, moved here by prehistoric floods.

We’ll explore Etosha National Park, known for its huge Salt Pan and diverse wildlife, including elephants, rhinos, lions, and many herbivores.
Covering 22,270 sq km, it features deserts, woodlands, and Mopane forests.
With 114 mammals, 340 birds, and 110 reptiles, it offers rich biodiversity.
We’ll do self-drive safaris and game drives in our own vehicles.
Stay: first night in a luxury lodge, second night in rooftop tents with hot showers and facilities.

Thursday, 24 July 2025 Etosha National Park to Mystery Location

As we return to civilization, we’ll cover 600 km on smooth tarmac roads over two days.
Our last night is at a boutique wilderness lodge with a special surprise to unwind.
Enjoy a sundowner while watching the African sunset one last time.
Farewell dinner features traditional Namibian and continental dishes—a perfect way to celebrate our journey.

After a leisurely breakfast at the luxury wilderness lodge, we will check out and embark on a 260 km drive back to Windhoek.
At the office of the car rental company, we will return our vehicles before being conveniently transported to Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek for our final journey home.
As we board our flight, we take with us cherished memories, leaving behind only tyre tracks and the remnants of our bonfire.
