Founder, Offbeat Adventure Drives Pvt. Ltd.

Ravi Nayar is a seasoned entrepreneur with an illustrious career spanning hospitality, event management, and overlanding expeditions. Armed with a degree in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Goa (1987), Ravi spent over a decade working with some of the world’s most prestigious hotel chains, including The Leela, The Oberoi, The Park, and Southern Pacific Hotels. His expertise in food & beverage and luxury hospitality laid the foundation for his entrepreneurial ventures.

In 1998, Ravi founded Mardi Gras Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. – An event management company pioneering in providing Entertainment and Entertainment Consultancy for Hotels and Restaurants in the Country. Mardi Gras Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Grew to be arguably the largest and the oldest company in this field across the country.

A true nomad at heart, Ravi has always been drawn to the thrill of the open road. Over the years, he has logged an incredible 1.2 million kilometers of overland travel, venturing through uncharted and unmapped territories across India and the globe.

His deep passion for motorsports, off-roading, and expedition-style travel inspired him to establish Offbeat Adventure Drives Pvt. Ltd. in 2014—one of India’s pioneering luxury overlanding and road trip companies.

Through Offbeat Adventure Drives, Ravi blends his extensive hospitality background with his expertise in overland travel, ensuring that every expedition is not only adventurous but also rich in comfort, gourmet experiences, and seamless logistics. His philosophy, “Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day,” is the driving force behind his success, allowing him to turn his passions into thriving business ventures.

With a proven track record of running two successful enterprises—one in hospitality entertainment and the other in luxury overlanding—Ravi continues to set new benchmarks in experiential travel, offering bespoke, off-thebeaten-path expeditions for those who seek adventure beyond the ordinary.

Carmen Miranda Nayar

Co-Founder, Offbeat Adventure Drives Pvt. Ltd.

With a background in psychology from the University of Mumbai and a specialization in hotel management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Goa, Carmen Miranda brings a unique blend of expertise in hospitality, luxury lifestyle, and culinary arts to Offbeat Adventure Drives.

Carmen spent over 14 years in the service and luxury lifestyle industry, working with India’s top fashion designers and leading airline Jet Airways. Her experience with premium brands has shaped her ability to curate journeys that are seamless, indulgent, and meticulously planned.

A passionate cook, Carmen also runs a well-known home kitchen, “Enthucutlet”,which has received recognition in the press and radio for its culinary excellence. Her deep knowledge of global cuisines plays an integral role in ensuring that Offbeat Adventure Drives’ expeditions are not just about adventure, but also about exceptional gourmet experiences on the road.

Carmen shares Ravi’s love for overland exploration and has accompanied him on numerous expeditions across India and the world. As an avid photographer, she serves as the in-house visual storyteller, capturing the most breathtaking moments from every journey.

Together, Ravi and Carmen have clocked over 1.2 million kilometers, navigating highways, remote trails, and off-road terrain across the globe.
